The top painting I just completed and is from one of the photos I took at Ft. Columbia, near Astoria, a few years ago. All the buildings overlook the Pacific. We were on our way down to Cannon Beach and Hobbes (grandson #1) had to make a potty stop. So we pulled over at the next place and found these great old Army buildings. I was going for a Hopper-esque look on this one. The bottom boat scene I did probably 25 or more years ago from a pencil study done by a watercolorist named Ted Kautsky. The sketch was in a book given to me by Grandpa Garfield. This one I am donating to the Art Auction at Logos this coming Friday. Blessings!
