Central Park Lake

My daughter Kajsa lives in New York, not far from Central Park. She took a photo of this lake on an overcast day. I love the muted colors and the fact that it doesn't look like downtown NYC! So a rather quick, impressionistic watercolor seemed to be in order.

Boathouse At Sunset

Decided to do a fairly large (20 X 20) pastel of a beautiful evening shot taken of Lake Coeur d' Alene (80 miles north of Moscow) by the talented photographer Hannah Grieser. Much as I love the Oregon coast, Idaho has some great water, too!

Sensing's Farm

Carson and Wendy Sensing moved here recently from Tennessee and they bought a farm in the heart of the Palouse. She took a photo of their place this summer and said she felt like they now lived in a painting. So, I thought they should.

Blue Tractor Sunset

This painting is based on a local photo by our neighbor and a Logos alum, David Johnson. It grabbed me by the way it glorified the great farming equipment we see on almost a daily basis.

Boys of Harvest

A pastel based on a photo by Mackenzie Miller (two of her boys), I think this view says so much about the joy we all share in a Palouse harvest time! Not to mention the admiration of boys (of any age) for great machines.

Dungeness Lighthouse

A quick watercolor of the lighthouse on Washington's coast that my big sister Jill helped 'keep' for a week. Definitely want to get in on that deal!
