Morning Fog
As we were leaving Spokane last month on a very cold, foggy morning, we came across this scene. Normally I prefer a strong light for watercolors, but, hey, why not take a walk on the wild side? (Thanks again to the Ed Schlect fam for putting us up!)

Newport Bay Harbor II
It was time for another boat painting, in watercolor - the power of pastels was sucking me in too deep! This was taken during the same delightful Class of 2013 trip to Oregon and at the same place as a previous painting, hence the 'II' thing. Just love harbors!

Moon & Bales
On my daily walk at lunchtime, I pass by this field. As the summer waned, these wonderful bales appeared, mysteriously made. I liked the bales, I liked the moon - similar shapes and all... so, time for a pastel!

Harvest Sunset
Thanks to Kyle Flack, a Logos grad and a lad from a farming family, for the original photo of this lovely sunset and combine. Part of the reason I love the Palouse so much is because of the glory of the skies and the glory of the wheat grown here. Thanks to the God of the harvest!
